Vintage Mystery BINGO: My Sign-Up

Vintage Mystery Bingo

Here it is--my first challenge sign-up for 2014!  My very own Vintage Mystery Challenge.  This year's challenge will be run as a Bingo extravaganza.  I have also added a level to the challenge this year--dividing the Vintage mysteries into Silver & Golden Ages.  I, being the crazy challengaholic that I am, will be attempting both Bingo Cards.  My declared challenge will be to finish two Bingos on each card (a total of 24 books).  But those of you who know me well won't be surprised if I don't go for all the marbles and try to cover both cards....Why don't you come and join me?  Click the link above to see the complete rules.

***I must give credit for the bingo-style challenge idea to Anne from Creativity’s Corner and Kristilyn from Reading in Winter.  These ladies enticed me with their 2013 Bingo Reading Challenge this past year.  I had so much fun with it that I thought it would be very cool to come up with a mystery version.  With Anne & Kristilyn’s kind permission, I have “stolen” their idea and given it a mysterious twist.  If you love challenges as much as I do be sure and check out their 2014 Bingo Reading Challenge.

Hi :-)
I have liked your Vintage Mystery challenge in 2013, even though I couldn't join it because I discovered it very late :-(
I'd like to join the 2014 challenge!! But, as I'm not so informed about Bingo, I don't understand one thing: must I read 12 books of my choice between all the categories, or must I read 2 books under the "G" column, 2 books under the "O" column, and so on?
Which one of these two?
Thanks for your attention!
Have a nice day. And forgive my basic English!

In order to participate you must read at least 6 books that fulfill categories listed on the Bingo cards above (that will qualify you as complete and allow you to be entered in a prize drawing at the end of the year). Those books must fulfill separate categories in a line...either down a column--say under the letter "G," Across all six columns in one row--say across the bottom row of the card, OR from one corner to its opposite corner--say top left corner through the bottom right. OR you can do one book for each corner category plus any other two boxes on that same board. If you complete two SEPARATE Bingos (12 books total), then you will qualify for an automatic prize. Those two Bingos can be on the same card (all books read for the Golden Age time period, for instance) or you can do one Bingo on the Gold card and one on the Silver. You can read for any of the categories you want--but only those boxes that equal six in a row (or "four corners") will qualify for a Bingo.

If you click on this link (http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2013/03/book-bingo-square-15-challenge-complete.html) You will see an example of Bingo-type scoring from a different Bingo challenge I did for 2013. You will see that for this one I had to read five books in a row. I have marked the categories I read and you will see that I have five stars across the top, five stars down the left side, and five stars from the bottom left to the top right--for a total of three complete Bingos. I hope this helps.
